TheMinorSite Info
Throughout 2010/11, this site had an average of over 5,000 unique visitors and over 9,000 individual visits, viewing a total of well over 80,000 pages each and every month, and serves a total of over 1.2 million pages per year.
Around 40% of these visitors are in the UK, 20% in the United States, and the remainder spread among Russia, Germany, Ireland, Canada, France, The Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Spain, China, Cyprus, Belgium, Switzerland, and a dozen others.
The large majority of these visitors either type the URL directly into their address bar or use a bookmark, but Google sends thousands of people to this site every month, followed by Microsoft’s ‘Bing’ and then Yahoo. Around 10% of the people visiting the site come via links from other Morris-related sites.
Fully 50% of our inbound traffic is coming looking at the Minors For Sale area, and to capitalise on that traffic many High-Street insurer’s, including the high profile brand names in the banner, have made advertising here a part of their marketing plans.
We’d love for you to join them and see how making this site part of your campaign can work for you, so get in touch with us here now.
About TheMinorSite
In the main, the site is maintained by me personally, although other members of the Lincs Branch MMOC committee dip in with contributions where possible. It’s not possible to say how many hours work has gone into the site over the years – I spend around 5-10 hours per week on it now, but invested hundred of hours on various rebuilds over the years – but it was certainly enough for me to turn down an offer two years ago from a Minor specialist to buy the domain name for a nice saloon he was advertising! I own, or maintain for other people, around 20 websites dotted around the internet but I enjoy working on this one more than any other and I’m always dreaming up new ideas for content. If you’d like to make any suggestions, I’d love to hear from you – there’s a contact link within the Lincs MMOC area. I’m currently working on a VIN-plate ‘decoder’ which will allow visitors to enter their number and get back all the details about their car’s original data.
